The Last Song

Summer is my favorite season. If I had my own way, I would like to live in a place where I wake up to year round beach weather. That is something I look forward in the future.

I am now counting for retirement.

Yeah, uh huh, right!

I am currently in the middle of reading a Nicholas Sparks book called The Last Song. It was an easy read but the themes are too light (corny?) for me even if the main character was a teen ager. I occassionally read young adult books, I have been through most of the Harry Potters and the Twilight saga and I enjoyed them both. This one seems too predictable to me. Either way, I am determined to finish the book.

I was surprised that the book I am reading now has been made into a movie with Miley Cyrus as the lead and some hunky guy as her love interest. Word is that both leads spun off an off screen relationship. Who can resist a summer in a nice beach with a hunky blond Australian? Even Miley Cyrus is not immune.
