My Pre-schooler

One morning my little one woke me up and kept on saying "Sun up, Get up, Mommy!" My instincts told me that this was code for "I am up Mom and I need breakfast!".

As I was preparing the pancakes one weekend morning, she was also busy playing on her little kitchen. I asked what is she making, she responded to me that she's preparing rice with ulam (with lots of soy sauce daw). This made me chuckle but also I was suddenly worried about my heart. So sweet.

Last September was the first time we had her go to school. Since she is a social butterfly like her father, she thrived and love every minute of it. She has lots of stories about her day in school. She is often too excited to tell me on the car on our way home. I have seen a lot of changes. And they are very good ones. I am glad that we signed her up 2 days a week with a good school. After the school season is finally over, she is able to write her name and communicate well. I have a feeling she will be able to grasp a second language well than her father. Based on the way she pronounced her words, she has a good ear for accents. I would proudly say that she got that from me.

Why do I have a feeling that this is just a start? I guess I should brace myself for great things to come.

Don't grow too fast Little Madison!

Yes Mitch you have to brace yourself :). Time flies so fast, that we almost don't know what have we done with it. I guess living it one day at a time would relieve the pressure :)
