Day 8: Getty Center, Los Angeles

95 degrees

Another nice day again in Cali. We want to have a laid back day and planned only one place to visit today. Later on, we have plans to have dinner with J's relative.

We were able to visit the Getty Center. It is a museum that was donated by the oil baron J. Paul Getty. It was interesting to find most old French pieces in a contemporary building built by Richard Meier. It was an interesting contrast of old and new. The view from the top overlooking the street and fancy houses atop of the mountain can take your breath away.

Next day, we have leave for an early flight to Honolulu. I hope Madison will behave in the plane like she did the last flight to Las Vegas. I will keep my fingers crossed.
