Day 22: San Francisco, CA

This is our last full day at SF and we want to make the most of it. Our itinerary was set to Fisherman's wharf and to Japantown. J decided to drive over to Japantown and park while we take the bus to the Wharf. He was hoping to catch a ferry over to Alcatraz.

The "wharf" is a huge boardwalk where all the tourist of SF congregates. It's a one stop place to get ferry rides around the island, hip theme restaurants and the rest are selling memorabilia. Nothing here interests me. This is a good place if you like people watching. The locals would be not caught here spending their free time unless they are showing out of towners around.

Is it me or am I crabby?

Even this nice fruit stand didn't even excite me?

We decided to spend the rest of our day in Japantown town. I thought a different scenery might lighten up my mood. Food and shopping are always my best interests.

Japantown is a small area neighborhood. Most of it are residential area with building that has the Asian aesthetics primarily of Japanese design. It has a mall area that has stores, sushi bars and restaurants. Finally, I found an area where the locals shop. There are hardly any tourists here besides us. Expect us to be back here if we happen to be in the area.

One of my food finds here is Sophie's Crepe. If I could just bring this home. I wish I have more time to explore this city. I am confident that I would be able to find some precious food finds. I will be back soon!

Banana, nutella and mango ice cream.

Tomorrow we are heading to Los Angeles then head to San Diego to see a good friend. Our road trip is coming to an end. Its sad but I am eager to go back to Jersey, back to my house, home and the rest of my family. I will be back in Jersey in a weeks time.
