Foxploration - Rosarito, Mexico

The first time we went to Mexico is through Tijuana. It was a disappointing trip that a couple of blocks walk from the bus stop we turned back and ready to head back to San Diego.

When we went back to South California, I am determined to give another trip to the border another shot. After looking for reasons to go back, its foxploration that convinced us to head over to Rosarito Beach in Baja California.

Xploration is an active studio, its proximity to Los Angeles have been convenient for movie makers that were on studio budget. Quite a number of movies were made here, it includes the popular Titanic, Master and Commander, X-Men, etc.

Fox Studios made this area an amusement park and let the public view the movie sets of its popular movies particularly the movie Titanic which is still very much intact.

Below are some random photos taken at the studio.

Those Starwars props were a surprise. I always thought that George Lucas does all filming on his Skywalker ranch, I guess not.

Rosarito Beach is easily accessible from San Diego, California. You can take the trolley to the San Ysidro stop, take the Mexicoach bus to Rosarito Beach. Ask the bus driver if you can be dropped of to Xploration.
