Book Review No 7: Angelology

Title:         Angelology
Author:    Danielle Trussoni
Genre:      Fiction

Synopsis

It uncovers the world when angels and mortal exists. Both intermarried and produced an offspring that has the human form with angel wings called Nephilims. They have super human abilities and can live for centuries. The Nephilims were sought after by an underground society as they try to uncover the secrets surrounding an important artifact.

Love it or hate it.

Love it!

The themes remind me of Dan Brown books like Angels and Demons with a hint of A.S. Byatt deciphering an old letter that lead to a more complex scenario. It balanced out religious secular themes, mythology and suspense.

As the story goes, the Nephilims were a very powerful society during the middle ages that they didn't even hide their identity. They can freely walk in society with open wings that it became a popular subject on frescoes and painting of that era. What separates them from the mortals is the inability to have a moral compass, they have an evil nature and would eliminate anyone that goes their way.

It has been a while since I encountered a book like this that keeps me on the edge of my seat and can't wait to know what happens next. The story telling puts you in another world that you would believe that those underground societies exists and we are just finding out about it.

This one goes to my bookshelf.
