Par-fect

We were recently invited to a wedding last weekend. The invitation came from somebody I used to work with (my boss) and we had been in touch through the years. I started working for her as her sidekick when I was barely out of college. She became my mentor and was able to work together again for different companies.

I do consider her one of my closest friend.

The wedding ceremony started in a church followed by the reception on the next town over. The couple were both avid golfers that they decided to have their reception at a country club.

It was really cold and breezy. She must be freezing!

Heavy food during cocktail hour.
The wedding cake. I noticed there was no cake topper. It looked bare.

The table setting.

The view from where we sat.

Hubby's choice: Grilled Salmon with Dill Sauce

Mine: Tenderloin of Beef w/ Marchand du Vin

They took out another cake - in green!

The party went on through the night. As for us, we had to leave an hour after our meal. We have to pick up the little one from the babysitter and by the time we are on our way back home, it is past midnight. Gone were the days when we could go out and party with no worries till the wee hours in the morning.
