The Tofu Place

Everytime I travel to a new location, only one question come into mind: Where would the locals in the area eat? I usually get excited when I find a place to eat that had fast service and cheap but good food with adequate portions.

We had found a jewel of a place in North New Jersey. It was a cozy Korean restaurant in Fort Lee, New Jersey called "Soft Tofu Restaurant". This place had only 10 items on the menu and it can be busy on certain times of the day which is another indication that food has a good turnover. It will always be fresh.

Very cozy.

We got the Seafood & Mushroom Tofu Soup. Delish!!

Ban-chan and rice comes usually with the meal.

The light soup on the left was cold kimchi soup.

It is easy to over eat with this one!

Seafood tofu soup.
We came about an hour before the lunch rush. I was told that if you ended up waiting for a table, the server will take your order and by the time you sat on your table your food will be ready for you. How's that for service?

It is unfortunate that we live about 1.5 hours from this place. Driving to Fort Lee is not an easy trek for us. But with a reliable place to eat like this, definitely will be back for sure.

What a great idea taking your order while you're waiting for a table. Why don't more restaurants do that?
