Day 13: Waikiki

We drove around the island. We took the scenic route. And boy, oh boy, I haven't seen such beauty and grace in one place. It took my breath away.

We started Sandy Beach all the way to North Shore, Sunset Beach. In between, we stopped for a lunch plate at L&L (local's favorite) and shaved ice at Matsumoto in Kamehameha Highway. Matsumoto was featured in the Travel Channel and well recommended by Frommer's as one of the best Oahu experience. Well, they are damn right! It is worth the trek to try this one.

Rainbow Flavored Shaved Ice

Here some of my favorite photos taken:

Halona Blow Hole

Calm waters at Sunset Beach, North Shore

The lagoon at Ko'Olina Beach.

We didn't make it on time at the Dole Plantation. We ended taking a dip at the kid friendly Ko'Olina beach. This place look like a resort. I was surprised that it has free facilities for public use. Perfect to bring the kids. Although, you can't BBQ, a downside for locals.

This is what I call to end a perfect day.
