Desk Wanted

I am in the mood of renovating our house. We have been living on the same townhouse for almost 5 years. Most of our furnishings are from the last apartment. Our previous home was a one bedroom compact place that we need small furnishings so we can actually move around the area.

One of the room that I want to change was the second bedroom. It should be actually Madison's bedroom/workspace. Since Madz prefer to sleep on a portable crib in our room, the second bedroom became my office.

The second bedroom is the warmest room in the house. In the middle of the day, it gets a lot of light which is one of the reasons why I want to work on this area. It also the warmest place on cold winter days.

The only problem was that the area is getting cramped. We had a convertible crib, a cabinet full of baby clothes, two small file cabinets and a huge desk. To save some space, we decided to get a laptop and got rid of our old decrepit desktop. I need a compact table that can serve as my workstation cum storage space.

I found this desk at Crate & Barrel. It is called Convertible Compact Desk. This will be perfect for my little corner next to the window. It is a bit pricey for a small piece of furniture. Should I put this on category called necessity?
