501st Entry

It was probably 2006 when I first started reading blogs. It happened to be the time when I am way too obsessed (still!) about Korean dramas then moved on to reading travel experiences to food blogging. It was also the time that I have been travelling internationally and photos alone is not sufficient to share my travel experiences. I felt a need to write down certain finds and events. It was also a time that I am pregnant with my first child. It was an exciting time, it helped too that I have a lot of time in my hands. Blogging became a hobby and obsession. Maybe I only have a handful of folks reading my entries but I like to share my thoughts and experiences like the same blogs that I read everyday. I find it weird that it is one of my holier than thou routines when I wake up in the morning with coffee/tea in hand and reading blog entries right after New York Times and Wall Street Journal.

I want to share the top 5 most read entries since the inception of this blog.
This was an entry from a last minute trip to Mexico. When I heard that the movie set of most major films was open to the public (with a small entrance fee), I felt it would be worth our while to visit at least overnight. It turned to be one of the best exploration we have encountered. If you are in the San Diego, California area, skip Tijuana and head straight to Rosarito Beach and visit FoxPloration Theme Park.

Another entry from a beach spot in Oahu that is child friendly and one of the Travel Channel's best beach in the world. This place has very little tourist unless they were staying with the nearby area. It is also popular with the locals that expect to be turned away by the security guard if those lots were full. It look like an exclusive resort but it is open to the public. If I ended up living in the island of Oahu, this is the place you can catch me lounging (or maybe blogging).

To add further to my Titanic obsession, I visited a travelling exhibit in the Luxor hotel. Photos are not permitted inside. The exhibit had an interesting fact that the first class ticket is $750 which had a room consist of running water and a full size bed. It was very luxurious at that time considering the 3rd class passengers are only allowed to bathe one a week.

A non-travel related entry about the annual Tuna Cutting Ceremony at Mitsuwa, New Jersey. It was a great eye opener on the tuna industry and only the skilled (and the strongest) people can easily cut the 600 pound blue fin tuna from Malta.

Those cars were from the former Liberace Museum. The piano maestro handpicked those flamboyant cars that had crystals and hand cut glass glued together whatelse, by hand.

Blogging is tricky business. I write what I usually feel. You could tell that when I am inspired, I could go on and on and if not, you would sense the brevity. When I re-read some of the entries, it makes me cringe. I am tempted to edit but it has be what it was meant to be: a personal journal.

Here's to another 500 entries.

Thank you for reading!
