The Governor's Palace - Colonial Wiliamsburg, VA

The Colonial Willimsburg Foundation has recreated the original building from ground up based on old architectural records. This was used to be the home of former royal governors and Thomas Jefferson.

The Facade.

The tour starts with an overview and history.
The waiting area, too masculine for me.

Considered the master suite, those beds look like a short full size bed.

The Ballroom. Colorful and painted walls are symbols of wealth.
The carpet detail in the Ballroom.

Doorway overlooking through the gardens.

Inside the smokehouse. Those were real smoked Virginia Hams. Too salty for me.

The outhouse (toilet)

Kitchen Pantry.

Kitchen demo with real food. Similar foods that was prepared then.
I am guessing this is not a dessert, its probably some meat pie.
